On the way to the dentist this morning I was listening to Jian Ghomeshi in CBC radio, and he made a point that hadn’t occurred to me.
Today, there a 100 days remaining in the decade. 100 days until 2010.
He challenged everyone listening to do something with those 100 days. Maybe write a hundred pages of a novel, or do 100 push-ups every day for the next 100 days. And so on. Great idea.
I think the same challenge can be made in our work lives.
What could you do with the last 100 days of the decade?
- Write a blog post each day
- Write a page of a book each day
- Cold call for new work each day
- Say something nice to a colleague each day
- Add something to your favourite social media site each day
100 is a good number. Think of something. Challenge yourself. Start today. Whatever you chose to do, doing it a 100 times, one day after the other, will make a difference to your work – and a difference to your success next year.

I'll post to a blog or newspaper/s every day over the next 100 days. I'll post photos each and every day over the next 100 days.

I'll be spending an hour a day promoting a new book I just completed...due to be published in about 4 weeks. Lots of preparation to do before publication day. : )

OK, I'll check Twitter once a day for 100 days. :-) That's how I found this post!
I suppose that's not much of a challenge, though. I'll also make a blog post each day for the next 100 days. That is a BIG challenge for me.
What will YOU do, Nick?
