Monday Copywriting Tip #26: Include Relevant Keywords in Your Text Links
When you write a text link, avoid that old favorite, 'Click here'.
Both Google and your readers are looking for useful, relevant text that will tell them what to expect from the page that follows.
Best of all, include the following page's number one keyword in the link.
Do that and you're helping both your readers and Google...they both want to know if the page that follows is RELEVANT. That means using descriptive text that includes relevant keywords.
Help your readers. Improve your search engine listings.
