Bored with Grammar Worksheets?
For myself, I find the study of grammar, and punctuation in particular, to be more than boring. Which is why I have never studied the subject since the day I left school. I stumble along, making a few mistakes along the way. Then someone sent me a book from the UK called 'Eats, Shoots & Leaves' by Lynne Truss.
The cover text describes the book as 'The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation'. That may sound a little severe, but the book is a laugh a minute. Really. It's the kind of book you can read in one sitting, laugh on every other page, and finish with a much clearer understanding of punctuation, what it's for and how it all works.
